Moon Kingdom is set one hundred years in the past, and follows the formation into what would be known as the Silver Millennium Project.
Queen Serenity's place as a member of the United Planetary Alliance is in shambles. People in the UPA, which is an alliance formed to aid others and to add checks and balances to the decision making in key elements within the solar system, have written off Serenity as a failure, citing her untraditionality with her style of rule. This includes her style of speaking, her leniancy, and even her hair style.
However, undeterred, Queen Serenity, who has her dreams set on a thousand years of undisturbed peace within at least the UPA's reach, she has once again needed approval for the formation of a Peace Corps, which will be the basis of how to make sure peace is kept. The Peace Corps would make sure that anyone that dared to destroyed such peace would be delt with swiftly and with ease.
However, this will, in turn, set off a series of events that may change the way many look at the entire Silver Milennium Project, and Serenity, and the UPA, forever.
Moon Kingdom will showcase how these events unfold, with the canon characters and also with the new characters. You will see characters that you may believe are new turn out to be characters you have known, decendants of canon characters, as well as behaviors and ways that shaped what you know now, or may have only THOUGHT you knew.
EXTRA INFORMATION
Many of the issues that the characters in Moon Kingdom will have to overcome may sound familiar to what we here and now face. Charge for peace versus having to fight for freedoms, terrorism, economic issues, traditional values, etc., are all debated in the basis of Moon Kingdom. Social commentary will be of the norm.
That's not to say that the Sailor Moon storyline will be ignored by any means. In fact, alot of the story arcs that deal with social commentary will also effect those around them. Queen Serenity is, in fact, a key player in many of these controversies and the Silver Millennium Project. Furthermore, as mentioned, you will see alot of the players of the SM world you know now be in Moon Kingdom, but you will know how they got that way, or at least from my perspective....or is it just my perspective?
How much spin did Serenity actually give the Sailors, and how much spin did she give to an entire generation about what the Silver Millennium really was all about? Was there any spin? And what about the powers that the Sailors have? Where did they come from, and why do they have them now? Who first held them? You will be VERY surprised about the answers you will get.
